NOCSAE Board Member, Non-Voting *
The NOCSAE board of directors represents a diverse and passionate group of sport and medical professionals who work together toward the common goal of reducing sport-related injuries. They serve without compensation.
John Parsons is a nonvoting member on NOCSAE’s board of directors representing the National Collegiate Athletic Association. He has been a member of the board since 2014. John is the managing director of the NCAA Sport Science Institute whose mission is to promote and develop safety, excellence, and wellness in college student-athletes, and to foster lifelong physical and mental development. Previously John was an associate professor and program director in the Athletic Training Program at A.T. Still University, president of the Arizona Athletic Trainers’ Association and head athletic trainer at Tucson High School.
The National Collegiate Athletic Association is a member-led organization dedicated to the well-being and lifelong success of college athletes. The NCAA regulates student athletics for almost 1,100 schools in all fifty states, Puerto Rico, and Canada. It also organizes athletic programs for colleges, helping over 500,000 student athletes compete annually in college sports.
