The NOCSAE board of directors represents a diverse and passionate group of sport and medical professionals who work together toward the common goal of reducing sport-related injuries. They serve without compensation.

NOCSAE Board Member Warren Howe

Dr. Warren Howe has represented the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine on NOCSAE’s board of directors for twenty-five years. Warren is a retired family and sports physician. After his internship at Philadelphia General Hospital (1965-66), active service in the U.S. Navy Medical Corps (1966-69) and a family medicine residency in Rochester, NY, (1969-71), Warren spent twenty-one years in private family practice in Oak Harbor, WA, followed by twenty years as team physician and head of Sports Medicine at Western Washington University. Warren received a BS degree in General Science from the University of Rochester (1962) and a Doctorate in Medicine from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (1965).

The American Medical Society for Sports Medicine is a leading organization in sports medicine, providing a forum to foster professional relationships among sports medicine physicians to advance the discipline of sports medicine through education, research, advocacy, and excellence in patient care.
