The NOCSAE board of directors represents a diverse and passionate group of sport and medical professionals who work together toward the common goal of reducing sport-related injuries. They serve without compensation.
Dr. Jessica Higgs has represented the American College Health Association on NOCSAE’s board of directors since 2018. She served as president of the ACHA from 2022 to 2023. Jessica is the director of Health Services at Bradley University and chair of the Missouri Valley Conference Sports Medicine Committee, which she helped create. She has held other leadership positions at the ACHA in her regional affiliate, the Clinical Medicine Section, the Benchmarking Committee, the Sports Medicine Coalition, numerous task forces, and on the board of directors. Jessica is a graduate of the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, Family Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine-Peoria, and Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
The American College Health Association serves as the voice for student health and wellness. Through advocacy, research, and education, the ACHA stands at the forefront of issues that impact the health and wellness of college students.
