The NOCSAE board of directors represents a diverse and passionate group of sport and medical professionals who work together toward the common goal of reducing sport-related injuries. They serve without compensation.

Jeff Mjaanes NOCSAE Board Treasurer

Dr. Jeff Mjaanes represents the American Academy of Pediatrics and has served on NOCSAE’s board of directors for more than ten years. Jeff is the director of Intercollegiate and Health Service Sports Medicine, and the head team physician for Northwestern University.

He is also team physician and member of the Medical Committee for USA Rugby and a medical trainer for World Rugby. Jeff was a sports medicine specialist at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago (where he previously completed his residency in Pediatrics) and served as medical director of the Chicago Sports Concussion Clinic. Earlier in his career he served as a team physician for U.S. Soccer. Jeff received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health and completed a sports medicine fellowship at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL.
